There are some people that bring a special light into a room. Strother Gaines is this type of person. His infectious energy, his authentic and genuine personality, sense of humor and life experience have helped him build a multi-faceted business as a business and personal coach for creative entrepreneurs (or someone aspiring to become one!). He helps traditional professionals tap into their creative side to grow, live happier and embrace their authentic selves.
But all of that sounds so boring and Strother is anything but boring! Strother is an electric, joyful human who gets right to the soul of everyone he meets. Our host, Heather Vickery, actually had the privilege of attending the theater with Strother while in D.C. for business a few months ago and she says “There's just something about him that makes you feel lighter and happier!”
Finding His True Self
Strother came out as a young man, fresh out of college. Having grown up in a small town in rural Kentucky, he experiences, while difficult, gave him the ability to see how his authentic self cannot be compromised by others. He was no longer willing to allow himself to be hidden or undervalued and so he worked to strike a balance.
If what you need doesn't exist, create it!
Always a lover of theater, Strother majored in Dramatic Arts. He knew his theater experience would weave its way into the rest of his life, but he wasn’t sure how. Eventually leading him to become the Producing Artistic Director and founder of DC’s only Immersive Experiential Design Company, “TBD Immersive.”
Now, Strother works to weave all of his passions into one another by experiencing theater and creating a business platform coaching Corporate Americans on how to tap into their own inner Unicorn while still recognizing and creating impactful boundaries.
Strother believes that we are all Unicorns; being uniquely you does not take away from anyone else’s uniqueness. We're all special, but we do have to ‘work for it.’
Strother’s private practice, I’m a Unicorn, Dammit! helps individuals, teams, and companies figure out what makes them uniquely capable and learn how to be authentic. Strother uses his expertise in storytelling and public speaking to help people embrace their Unicorn.
