3 Simple Strategies for Maintaining a Grounded & Heart-Centered Business

Picture this, if you will…

You’re heading down a promising path, diligently going through the motions of your routine in the name of performance and productivity. You’re doing everything right. But…

One day, you wake up and five years have gone by. You look in the mirror and think… “how the f*ck did I get here?!”

If you’ve found yourself experiencing this moment, and if you’re honest with yourself, then you know this has a lot more to do with what didn’t happen, rather than what did. You didn’t truly show up for yourself. Somehow, you got lost along the way.

They say “stand for nothing, fall for anything,” right? This is SO true!

By NOT setting intentions and showing up bravely (despite your fears), you become more susceptible to the winds of life that pull us in all directions and away from our true path. Distractions always win – but, somehow, you never do.

Are you finished living like this? Because it simply does not have to be this way any longer. You’re not stuck unless you want to be.

Keep reading for 3 simple strategies every entrepreneur can implement daily, weekly, and monthly to stay grounded and heart-centered in their business…

MONTHLY: Reassess, reassess, reassess!

Set some time aside once a month to slow down and reassess the major things in life that define and consume you, including:

  • Goals
  • Habits
  • Processes
  • People

Reflect on the previous month and ask yourself: What served me well? Where is there room for improvement? Write these answers down and use this insight to make adjustments for the following month!

There’s NOTHING in life that isn’t in need of reassessment from time to time. Remember: The more open you are to growth, the more you will bloom.

WEEKLY: Stay mindful of your “why.”

Once you’ve reassessed your monthly goals, start each week by reminding yourself of the “why” that drives, motivates, and inspires you. It’s easy to shift into autopilot mode when we’re operating without purpose, causing us to lose sight of the path we’re on.

Look ahead at your week; Are the items on your to-do list and the meetings on your calendar moving you towards your goals? Leading with heart-centered intention each week not only helps you stay focused but adds meaning and value to your life.

DAILY: Focus only on what you CAN control.

The last piece of the puzzle is a daily mindset: don’t waste valuable time and energy on things outside of your control. No matter what life throws at you, you can only control how YOU choose to respond to it.

“Change what you can and change your mindset about the things you can’t change.” is a quote to help you stay grounded in business.

Check-in with yourself throughout the day. If you start to feel stressed or overwhelmed, ask yourself: “What about this situation is within my control?” And then, take the necessary action to create change. If, upon reflection, you discover there is, truly, nothing you can control, then let that shit go!

Instead, channel your energy into bettering yourself and the things you CAN control. Even if it’s just a shift in mindset. After all, YOU are the most valuable investment there is.

Here’s the takeaway, ready? Life’s too damn short to let any of your efforts go to waste into a meaningless abyss. From the communities you’re a part of, to the people you allow yourself to be influenced by, to the things you say—if it doesn’t serve you on your true path, it’s time to make some changes!

I once heard queen Oprah say: “Everything I do is with intention. I know why I make every single decision and action.”

If you’ve been living on autopilot mode, here’s your sign to reassess your goals, reaffirm your “why” and refocus your energies so you can take intentional steps towards a more grounded and heart-centered business.
